    Statement Necklace Copper and Aqua

    $169.00

This  assemblage necklace is a one-of-a-kind-statement-making stunner. Crafted in copper and aqua, it’s truly spectacular.

The definition of assemblage is “a group of collected things.” In the art world, assemblage refers to putting together a group of objects into a unified whole. Several years ago, I was absolutely captivated by assemblage jewelry and have been making it ever since.

The patinaed butterfly is the focus of this creation; it’s surrounded by components that are richly plated with copper: four flowers with faux pearls at their centers, a leaf and various other copper components. The assemblage hangs from a rolo chain complemented with faceted Amazonite beads.  A toggle clasp makes the necklace easy to put on and take off.

    Bullet Shell Necklace

    $59.00

Look closely and you’ll see these tassel necklaces, part of my Re-Fabulous collection, are made from spent bullet shells. (I purchased the shells from a local gun range. I love to upcycle pretty much anything and everything.) After painstakingly cleaning the bullet shells, I drilled holes in the top. Next I sealed the shells using two coats of a protective coating so the bullet shells would retain their luster and prevent tarnishing and oxidation.

The tassels themselves are crafted from old chain, much of it vintage, plus beads, Czechoslovakian crystal rondelles, bead caps, and whatever else strikes my fancy as I’m putting the tassel together. Each tassel hangs on a 24″ stainless steel ball chain, making the perfect tassel necklace!

    Take your pick:

#1 sports a rectangular teal-colored bead, brass bullet shell and silver tulip bead. The tassel is just over 5″ long.

#2 features a black bead with a silver-tone bullet shell.  The tassel is about 4.5″ long.

#3 features a brass bullet shell with a faceted bright silver bead.  The tassel is about 5″ long.

#4 featured a brass bullet shell, silver tube bead, and a mustard-color focal bead. The tassel is about 5″ long.

#5 is neutral in silver and gold tones with a faux pearl, and has a tassel about 4.5″ long.
